A French Start was created for families who value French as a second language but face challenges accessing consistent, community-based learning.
Although French is one of Canada’s official languages, meaningful opportunities to learn it often depend on geography and available schooling options. French immersion, Francophone schools, or other programs aren’t always nearby, may involve long commutes, or may not fit every family’s situation. Other options can feel limited or disconnected from children’s everyday lives.
A French Start bridges that gap. We help families build a strong, lasting foundation in French—whether children attend French immersion, a Francophone school, or an English-language program.
Parents are central to the process. You don’t need to speak French fluently to support your child. Through guided courses, shared activities, and accessible resources—books, videos, and audio materials—parents learn alongside their children and help make French a natural part of daily life.
French learning grows through familiarity, repetition, and confidence. A French Start provides a structured, practical way to turn everyday moments into opportunities for learning, curiosity, and joy.
Our signature program, French Together, gives children a guided, small-group environment to build confidence and foundational skills, while equipping parents with the tools to support learning at home.
With A French Start, French becomes more than a subject—it becomes a living, shared experience, a source of pride, and a skill children carry for life.
