Spring – Le printemps
Our Spring French resources for kids help you explore the following topics in a fun way, both at home and outdoors with your child: eggs, Easter, birds, flowers, plants, trees, gardening, insects, spring weather, Mother’s Day and much more.
We provide you with ways to teach spring vocabulary and expressions to your child, through books and fun, easy-to-set up (and as much as possible, low-cost) crafts for kids that will keep them engaged. Our activities focus not only on the French language but also include STEM experiments for kids at home.
We also suggest cost-effective, family-focused activities, such as baking treats, cooking with seasonal produce, or planting a garden together. Our goal is to help you integrate French at home, in your everyday life.
We share well-known French songs for kids that are catchy and easy to learn, often with finger play and movements that reinforce learning. They also enable children to add some physical activity during the day! And if you’re learning French with your child, our English translations of the various nursery rhymes and songs make it even easier to follow along.
If your child is allowed screentime, you can check out cartoons that explore spring topics. As much as we can, we try to link to the specific episode so that you can access them with just a click.
We also share links to toys and games that we think will help you extend the learning further with your child. Some examples are miniature bug figurines about insect lifecycles and finger puppets.
We hope you find these spring French resources helpful!
